Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville owns the afternoon, Cheekwood Estate and Gardens take the early evening, and Boo at the Zoo at Nashville Zoo at Grassmere closes the night. All three run this October on confirmed dates. The 2026 Genesis GV80 carries the crew and the gear. You handle who wears what.
We'll be straight about the GV80's available third row before anything else. Genesis lists it at 30.3 inches of legroom, which is real space for kids, workable for teenagers, and tight for adults on any drive longer than 15 minutes. A passenger list of two adults and a few kids fits the GV80 exactly right for this day. If you're trying to seat six adults with comfort, we'd point you toward a different configuration and have that conversation directly.
Cargo is a different story, a happier one. Genesis specs 38.7 cubic feet behind the second row on two-row models, and 36.5 cubic feet behind the folded third row on three-row trims. Either number swallows a costume duffel, a folding wagon for the pumpkin patch, and the inevitable extras without anyone holding something on their lap.
What's the Route?
The route strings three stops off the Bell Road corridor with no backtracking, ordered afternoon to evening so you reach each place right as it opens, starting south in Eagleville, swinging north to Cheekwood, then dropping back toward Grassmere for the finish. One loop, no wasted miles.

The Three Stops
Stop 1: Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville
Lucky Ladd Farms spreads across 60 acres at 4374 Rocky Glade Road in Eagleville, about 30 minutes south of Nashville on TN-99. The pumpkin patch and corn maze run Wednesdays through Sundays, September 16 through October 31. You get Tennessee's largest petting farm, wagon rides, pig races, giant slides, and more than ten pumpkin varieties to pick. Plan on a full afternoon, not a quick walk-through.
Plan on returning to the GV80 with muddy shoes, at least one pumpkin, and probably a second pumpkin that was never part of the plan. The GV80's 40/20/40 split second row folds one section flat while keeping seating for five, so you gain usable cargo length for the haul home without a full reconfiguration. Add the power hands-free smart liftgate, and you're not balancing three pumpkins on wet grass while you fish for keys. Small details. They count at the end of a long afternoon.
Leave by 2:00pm to reach Cheekwood with daylight to spare.
Stop 2: Cheekwood Estate and Gardens
Cheekwood runs its 2026 Harvest season through November 1. Daytime visits include approximately 100,000 pumpkins across the grounds, three pumpkin houses, and the "Once Upon a Harvest" Scarecrow Trail. On Thursday evenings through October 29, Harvest Nights illuminates the scarecrow trail and Jack-o'-Lantern Topiary after dark, with live music and food trucks. Pick a Thursday and you land Cheekwood's evening event and Boo at the Zoo on the same night.
Middle Tennessee's October afternoons open in the mid-60s and fall toward the low 50s after sunset, the kind of swing where we've watched the cabin go from wanting A/C on the drive in to wanting heat on the walk back to the car. The GV80's available four-zone climate control earns its keep right there, with driver, front passenger, and rear zones all set independently, so the temperature argument never starts. Use the cargo area as a staging zone to sort and change into costumes before the final stop.
Stop 3: Boo at the Zoo at Nashville Zoo at Grassmere
Nashville Zoo at Grassmere sits at 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211, the same 37211 zip as our lot on Bell Road, practically around the corner. From Cheekwood you're 12 minutes up Nolensville Pike. The zoo notes it's accessible from both I-65 and I-24 at the Harding Place exit, which keeps the drive home after an 8pm Boo at the Zoo clean and direct.
Boo at the Zoo runs nightly from October 16 through November 1, 5pm to 9pm, with trick-or-treating, Halloween activities, and animal exhibits open for the evening. Costumes go on for real at this stop. Kids have already burned energy at the farm and the gardens, so they're primed for candy. The GV80's Highway Driving Assist 2 and Smart Cruise Control 2 carry some of the mental load on the earlier interstate stretches, which matters more on the I-840 and US-431 combination between stops two and three than on the short pull off Nolensville Pike. By the time you reach the zoo, you've got a composed, quiet ride and a parking spot you've earned.
- Book Boo at the Zoo tickets online well in advance; weekend dates in late October sell out
- Load the GV80 the night before: costumes, wagon, snacks, and a dry bag for muddy shoes
- Keep the third row folded through the first two stops; you'll want the 36.5 cubic feet behind it for pumpkins and gear
- Save a screenshot of the zoo map; Nolensville Pike lots fill fast on peak nights and app data can lag
- Layer for the temperature drop; Nashville's October evenings fall into the low 50s and the Zoo is fully outdoors
Tweak It to Your Crew
Not every family needs all three stops, and the GV80 bends to whichever version you run, from the full loop to a single farm afternoon to an evening of lights and candy with the daytime left open. A family with younger kids under five does well with Lucky Ladd alone and an early dinner. Teenagers who'd rather skip the farm can go straight to Cheekwood Harvest Nights and then the Zoo, afternoon free. Configure the GV80 with seven seats in the Advanced or Prestige AWD trim, and you have room for grandparents or a second family's kids who need a ride.
The GV80's 27-inch OLED display runs wireless Apple CarPlay standard, so the co-pilot can manage ticket queues, parking apps, and the family group text while you manage the road. No small thing at 7:30pm on Nolensville Pike with a car full of costumed children who've had a lot of candy.
The third-row math works for this itinerary because the longest stretch is the first drive, about 30 minutes south to Eagleville. After that you're making 12-to-35-minute hops where 30.3 inches of legroom is genuinely fine for kids. Families who regularly need three rows for adults across longer drives should treat that as a separate conversation about the lineup before committing to a configuration.
We're on Bell Road. The GV80 is on the floor in both configurations. Come sit the kids in that third row and judge it yourself before October fills up.
